Located in Sheldon, Brisbane – this stay is the perfect combination of being tucked away in nature, yet close enough to easily access Brisbane City, the Gold Coast and the Redlands.
The Space
In a prime position, our getaway boasts a wonderful home that gives seclusion while still being conveniently close to all the amenities that Redlands, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast have to offer. Winston Wallabies Urban Getaway is a sanctuary for native animals including wallabies, set on 28 acres of undisturbed Australian bushland.
We are fortunate to be in the Koala corridor, but we haven’t seen any of the cute little guys in a while. However, we can still hear their charming evening sounds everywhere. There is a beautiful population of sulphur-crested cockatoos in the neighbourhood, and their lively expressions enhance the retreat’s allure. In addition, Winston Wallabies Urban Getaway is home to a plethora of bird species, including lorikeets, which are sure to delight you.
No matter how big or little your party is, our retreat has enough room and peace for everyone to relax and make memories that will last a lifetime. The roomy veranda and well-appointed kitchen, where delectable meals are prepared, never fails to wow guests. Everyone likes to hang out in the entertainment area, which has a variety of games and activities, including a pool table, table tennis, and exercise equipment. There are even more ways to have fun and exercise outdoors with our Springfree trampoline and basketball hoop.
Staying in a spacious, contemporary Australian shed that has been meticulously planned and constructed for residential use will offer you a one-of-a-kind and cosy environment. Lots of free parking is right at the end of a picturesque half-kilometer driveway. The convenience and ease of our guests are our top priority at Winston Wallabies Urban Getaway. To make sure you have a nice stay, our building is well-insulated, prioritises natural ventilation, and has ceiling fans in each bedroom. Thanks to our great ventilation and environment, you’ll rarely need the offered reverse cycle air conditioning (and heating).
We have constructed our bathrooms to accommodate a variety of demands. The flat bed showers in both bathrooms make them more accessible. Guests who may have difficulty walking will appreciate the first bathroom’s railings and shower chair. Ensuring a comfortable and safe experience for all, our second bathroom complies with all disability regulations, providing fully compliant facilities for those who need them.
