FAQs

Anyone who is an NDIS participant and needs to live out of home for a short period can avail of STA. This could be due to a variety of reasons – if your usual support network isn’t available for a short period, or to give your carers a short break from their caring role, or simply to try new things and make new friends1.

Short-Term Accommodation includes personal care, accommodation, food, and activities agreed upon by you and the provider1.

We prioritize creating a good match between support workers and NDIS participants. Our process involves understanding the needs, preferences, and goals of the participant, and then matching them with a support worker who has the suitable skills, experience, and personality to provide the necessary support and build a trusting relationship.

A Support Worker can provide a variety of supports to help individuals with disabilities lead a fulfilling and more independent life. This can include personal care assistance, help with daily living activities, transportation to appointments, community participation, skill development, and providing companionship.

Yes, if you already have funding in your Core budget, you can use this for Short-Term Accommodation. You can choose to use your Core budget on a range of supports like STA to suit your needs and pursue the goals in your plan1.
